Computer tomography
Computer tomography involves applying radiation via a limited X-ray bundle from an X-ray tube which rotates around the body. Whole sections of the body can in this way be reproduced in a matter of seconds.
As well as performing the most common examinations on all areas of the body, our modern CTs also make it possible to obtain excellent image quality for blood vessels (CT angiography) and the artefact-free image of moving organs, such as the heart.
In a very short time, a picture of the body Körpervolumen is taken and reproduced in any desired plane as a two-dimensional or three-dimensional image.
The short examination times increase the comfort of the patient considerably, in particular for severely ill patients.
